Acupuncture is a safe, effective and drug-free therapy that can treat a wide variety of medical problems and promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health and improve overall function and well-being by stimulating the Qi and blood flowing in the Meridians.

Meridians are specific pathways through which Qi and blood are distributed to the whole body. The Meridian is a collective term for channels and collaterals. Channels are the main trunks of the Meridian system that travels in the depth of the body along certain route, while the collaterals are the branches of the Meridian system which runs in the superficial parts of the body or even emerges in the exterior of the body. They are distributed vertically and horizontally, linking every parts of the whole body like a net. There are 14 main meridians inside the body. Each meridian contains different acupoints. The practitioner inserts the needles into selected acupoints after making a diagnosis according to the principle of traditional Chinese medicine and the theory of Meridian system. All needles are very fine, thin and disposed of after one-time use

The effectiveness of an acupuncture treatment is strongly dependent upon an accurate Traditional Chinese medical diagnosis. The needling skills and techniques of the practitioner will also influence greatly the results.
